Brief biography

Manuel Gärtner has been with STMicroelectronics Munich since 1999 and works as Senior Team Leader and Marketing Manager for ASSP/ASIC and Power Discrete Devices. He also leads the strategic agenda Wide Bandgap Materials for Automotive Applications in the EMEA region.

Before joining STMicroelectronics, he worked at Infineon Technologies as a development engineer for Smart Power Products and as a research engineer at the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology and at the University of Berlin.

He has published several articles (>20) on power electronics and holds several patents (>5). In addition to the EEHE Scientific Advisory Board, he is also on the SIA POWER TRAIN & ELECTRONICS Conference Advisory Board Power Electronics and in the ECPE he represents STMicroelectronics as the main partner.

At the end of the first day, we invite all stakeholders and participants to a special event location for an evening of sharing and dinner: Erich-Brost-Pavillon.

At a height of 38 meters on the roof of the former coal washing plant, the event room, which is glazed on three sides, offers a breathtaking panoramic view – from the arena on Schalke to the Essen skyline and the Oberhausen gasometer.

The Erich Brost Pavilion is located in the coal washing plant of the Zollverein Essen UNESCO World Heritage Site.
